In this part of the country, around me, wild plants in bloom are few at this time of year; under such circumstances, I just wanted to take a trip to a marsh on a mountainside, as different kinds of plants being in flower. On arriving at the swamp, what caught my eyes first was Hypericum ascyron, its much more giant flower in size, compared to the other species in the same genus, making a vivid contrast with the other flora around it. Shimane RDB lists this as a VU.
The Shimane RDB also lists Utricularia bifida and Utricularia yakusimensis as a VU, as well. I saw them coexisting as if to hide in the grass, so small that casual observers might not notice.
The pictures below are of those and what I saw some others occurring in or fringe of the marsh.
