I had a unique opportunity, just a few days before part of western Shimane got caught in monster downpour, to make a trip to a location for Epipogium roseum, a very rare orchid species that occurs in  evergreen broad-leaved forests. It was found in moist leaf mould on a floor. It seems I could see one at a perfect time from view of point of weather and flowering situation.
The other species put together below are what were seen not too far from there.
