Acer palmatum, a
deciduous tree standing, growing to approximately 15m in height, a
cross-section of 50-60cm in diameter, with barks green and smooth
when young and turning light gray-brown later. Leaves are opposite,
the blades of which measuring 4-7cm in diameter, palmately cleft in
5-9, the lobes are lanceolate, tips pointed, bases are
shallow-heart-shaped or truncate, with margins with double
serrations. Flowers are monoecious; male flowers and females mingle
in the same inflorescences. Bloom time: April-May. |
