Achyranthes longifolia is an approximately 90 cm-tall perennial found in forests in mountainous regions. Leaves are of opposite phyllotaxis, 7-20cm long and 1-5cm wide, lanceolate to broadly lanceolate in shape, with tips becoming narrower to points and smooth surfaces that are glossy. Stem tips and axils emerge with spikes and small, green flowers set somewhat sparsely. Bloom time: August-September.
