Found in the mountains, Aconitum
japonicum ssp. Japonicum, a perennial, grows to 0.6-2m in
size, with a diagonal growth habit on forest edges and an erect
habit in grasslands. Leaves 6-20cm long and wide, cut themselves
halfway in 3-5, and the apertures look shallow, which characterizes
this species. Flowers measuring 3-4cm long are arranged in corymbs
and bloom from the top downwards. Bloom time: September-November. |
