Aconitum japonicum ssp.
napiforme, a toxic perennial herb, inhabits forests in
mountainous regions on the Japan Sea side, the stems measuring
approximately one meter in height. The leaves are cleft in three;
the leaflets also cut in shallow to midways. Flowers, blue-purple,
each 3-4cm in length, come in an inflorescence, bloom in order from
the bottom. Bloom time: September-November. |
