Adenocaulon himalaicum is
a perennial herb found in the shade of a tree; stems grow to 50-80cm
in height and branch on the upper parts. Leaves are 10-20cm long, in
a triangular-cordate shape, and resemble those of Petasites
japonicus but differ in that the tips are somewhat pointed, and
the petioles have wings. Flower heads have female flowers around the
edges and bisexual flowers in the center. Bloom time:
August-October. |
