Ajuga cilliata var. vilosior,
a perennial herb inhabiting grasslands or
deciduous tree forests in hilly districts, grows to 30-40
centimeters in height, with opposite 3-8cm long coarse leaves and
many fine hairs on the whole. Due to those hairs, the stems and
leaves look somewhat whitish. Leaves are shaped like an oval or
broad-oval, 3-8cm long, with coarse serrations on the margins.
Lip-shaped, 1-1.2cm long, reddish-purple flowers cluster on the
upper part of the stems. Bloom time: May-June. |
