Ajuga decumbens,
inhabiting roadsides, ends of gardens, foothills, skirts of
mountains, etc., spreads out its branching stems flat on the ground
to make mats; stems look like runners; however, they make no root
systems. Leaves are 4-6cm long and 1-2cm wide, forming an
oblanceolate shape in their basal rosette. Some 1cm deep purple,
labiate flowers bloom at the axils. Bloom time: March-May. |
