Allium thunbergii is
a perennial growing in grasslands in mountainous regions,
with bulbs 2-3cm in length in the shape of an oblong ovate.
Flower stalks measure 30-60 cm in height, with 3-5 leaves at
the bases. The leaves are cylindrical, 20-50cm in length,
2-5mm in width, and have triangular cross-sections. Shoot
apexes bear many small red-purple flowers in the way of an
umbel way. Bloom time: September-October. |
