Allium tuberosum
is a perennial herb, and its native
status is reportedly uncertain. Bulbs are small, arranged in
a row, and the leaves are flat and linear, measuring 20-30cm
in length. Flower stems grow to 30-50cm in height and bear
many white flowers at their apices. Perianth lobes measure
5-6mm in length, in the shape of a narrow, long-ovate leaf,
with pointed tips. Bloom time: August-September. |
