Allium tuberosum
is a perennial herb, reportedly uncertain if it is a
native- or indigenous species. Bulbs are small, connecting
themselves in a queue sideways, and leaves are plane and
linear, 20-30cm in length. Flower stems grow to 30-50cm in
height and set many white flowers on the apexes. Perianth
lobes measure 5-6mm in length, in the shape of a narrow
long-ovate, tips pointed. Bloom time: August-September. |
