Anaphalis margaritacea
var. angustifolia, a small type of Anaphalis margaritacea of
eastern Japan, inhabits grasslands in mountainous regions. Stems
with white hair grow to as tall as 30cm and are in crowds and branch

7-10mm-in-diameter flower heads; involucral bracts are white and
dry-membraneous. Bloom time: August-September. |
