Anaphalis margaritacea var. angustifolia, a small
variety of Anaphalis margaritacea, is found in eastern Japan and
inhabits grasslands in mountainous regions. Stems with white hair
grow as tall as 30cm, are in crowds, and branch only at the upper
portions, neither on the lower nor the middle parts. Leaves are
2-6mm long and linear. Stem apexes set many 7-10 mm in diameter
flower heads; involucral bracts are white and dry-membraneous. Bloom
time: August-September. |
