Anaphalis margaritacea var. angustifolia, a
small type of Anaphalis margaritacea of eastern Japan, inhabits
grasslands in mountainous regions. Stems with white hair grow to as
tall as 30cm, are in crowds, and branch only at upper potions -
neither on lower nor middle parts. Leaves are 2-6mm in length and
have a linear shape. Stem apexes set many 7-10mm-in-diameter flower
heads; involucral bracts are white and dry-membraneous. Bloom time:
August-September. |
