Ancistrocarya japonica
is a perennial height of 50-80cm, inhabiting the shade of trees in
mountainous regions. Leaves are of alternate phyllotaxis, 10-20cm
long, in the shape of an oblong, gathering on central parts of the stems.
Flowers are tubular bell-shaped, 1-13cm in length, ranging from
white to blue-purple. Bloom time: May-June.
