Anemone keiskeana,
a perennial, so-called spring ephemeral, inhabits along valleys or
in the forests of mountainous regions, its thick and purple rhizomes
crawling sideways. Radical leaves, dark green, consist of 3
leaflets, each triangular-oval shaped with serrations on the margin.
In the springtime, the leaves tinge light brown with white spots on
them, the bottom sides purple-tinged. Leaves on stems are whorl at
the stem tops with three segments, and in the center, borne
peduncles with 3-3.5cm-in-diameter white to light purple flowers,
opening facing upward. Bloom time: February-March. |
