Angelica polymorpha,
a perennial herb that thrives in the unique habitat of damp forest
edges in mountainous regions, stands 0.8-1.5m tall. Its tri- to
tetrapinnate compound leaves, with 3-6cm long leaflets and sharply
serrated margins, are a distinctive feature. The branch tops bear
compound umbels that give rise to numerous white flowers, which open
in a unique pattern from the outside inward. Bloom time: September
to November. |
