Arisaema kiurashianum,
a perennial 30-50cm high, grows in low, less bright, mountain
forests with single leaves and long petioles. The leaves divide
themselves into 7-13 leaflets in a pedate way, and the peduncles are
positioned more basally than the level of the leaves. Spathes are
dark purple with white stripes and T-letter-like white patches on
the limb's inner surfaces. Appendages on the tips of inflorescences
lengthen thread-like and emerge from them. Bloom time: April-May. |
