Artemisia capillaris is a
0.3-1m tall perennial occurring in dry riverbeds, sandy soil on
seashores, and the like, with lower parts' stems lignified. The
branches without flowers are short and set rosette-like leaves at
the tips; the leaves with long petioles are bipinnately divided; the
terminal segments are thread-like, many with dense gray-white
sericeous on both surfaces look whitish. Leaves on flower stalks are
generally hairless, mono- to bipinnately divided, and terminal
segments are thready. Flower heads set themselves in a conical way.,
1.5-2mm in diameter, spherical to oval. Bloom time:
