Aster fastigiatus is a perennial of a height of 0.3-1m
found in moist grasslands or paths between paddies; leaves are
lanceolate or linear-lanceolate, short-haired on the margins. Short
greenish-white hairs and glandular dots are observable on the
leaves' bottom sides. The leaves on the lower portions are 5.5-12cm
long and 0.4-1.5cm wide, becoming smaller as they reach the upper
parts. Flower heads, flowering in corymbs, are small, 7-9mm in
diameter; ray florets are white, and disk florets are yellow; bracts
are tubular, 4mm long. Bloom time: August-October. |
