Aster fastigiatus is
a perennial of a height of 0.3-1m found in moist grasslands or paths
between paddies; leaves are in the shape of a lanceolate or linear-lanceolate,
short-haired on the margins. On the bottom sides of the leaves,
observable are short greenish-white hairs and glandular dots. The
leaves on lower portions are 5.5-12cm in length, and 0.4-1.5cm in
width, becoming smaller to get to the upper parts. Flower heads,
flowering in corymbs, are small, 7-9mm in diameter; ray florets are
white, and disk florets yellow; bracts tubular, 4mm in length. Bloom
time: August-October. |
