Atriplex patens is
an annual occurrence in sandy soil on seashores with a height of
5-10cm. Leaves are of alternate phyllotaxis, in a narrow lanceolate
to a linear shape, and young leaves are with white powdery
substances. Spikes set male and female flowers mingling together;
the male flowers lack bracts and cut perianths in 2-4, while female
flowers, lacking the perianths, have two bracts. After the flower,
the female's bracts grow to 3-4mm long and envelop utricles. Bloom
time: August-October. |
