Begonia grandis, a naturalized perennial herb found in
Japan, grows to around 70cm in height and has big, about 20cm long,
left-right asymmetric, alternately arranged leaves. The flowers are
diclinism; small petals put themselves on the left and right, and
sepals come up and down. Male flowers open facing the anterior side,
and female ones hang and bloom facing downward. Bloom time:
