Boehmeria spicata is a semi-shrub in fields and mountains; its stems lignify with lower parts, branch well to grow to 1-2 m in height, and tinge red with their petioles. Leaves are rhombus-like, ovate to oblong, 4-8cm long, with tips pointed long in a tail way.
