Boenninghausenia albiflora var. japonica is a perennial of 50-80cm-in-height growing on forest edges in mountainous regions, with triternate compound leaves, thin texture, pellucid dots, and odor. Branch tips emerge cymes in which bloom many small white 4-petaled flowers. Bloom time: August-October.
