Broussonetia kazinoki x
B. papyrifera is a deciduous shrub with brown barks
cultivated for use in traditional Japanese handmade paper; it also
grows wild in the wild broadly. Leaves are alternate; blades are
warped ovate, 10-20cm in length, with surfaces feeling slightly
sandy. Petioles measure 1-2cm in length. Flowers are dioecious;
Inflorescences emerge from axils in current branches, which are true
of both male flowers and females. Fruit rarely matures. Bloom time:
April-May. |
