Bulbophyllum inconspicuum
is a perennial orchid that inhabits trunks or rocks in evergreen
forests in mountainous regions. Rhizomes creep sideways, sparsely
making pseudobulbs on the way, and bear single leaves at the end.
The leaves are oval-oblong, measuring 1-3cm long, fleshy and thick.
Flower stalks emerge from the bases of pseudobulbs and set single
yellowish-white flowers; the sepals measuring approximately 3mm
long, in the shape of an oval-like oblong, lateral petals, and lips
being smallish. Bloom time: June-July. |
