Capsella bursa-pastoris
is a biennial herb found in fields or on roadsides, growing to
10-40cm in height. Radical leaves are rosette-like, deeply cut in a
pinnate way. On-stem leaves on the upper parts, not cleft in, and
embrace stems. The flowers are white and approximately 3mm in
diameter. The fruit measures 6-7mm long, is upside-down triangular,
and has dented tips. Bloom time: March-June. |
