Cardamine lyrata is a
perennial occurring in wetlands, 30-70cm in height. Stems with no
hair have ridges. Leaves are of an imparipinnate compound leaf, and
the leaflets comprise 2-6 pairs, terminal ones being orbicular or
oblong, 1-3cm in length, and lateral leaflets are small. Racemes
bear 4-petaled small white flowers in them. As flowering ends, stems
fall and emerge runners. Bloom time: April-June. |
