Cardamine lyrata / Mizutagarashi ミズタガラシ

 
Cardamine lyrata is a perennial plant that occurs in wetlands, growing 30-70cm in height. Stems with no hair have ridges. Leaves are of an imparipinnate compound leaf, and the leaflets comprise 2-6 pairs, with the terminal ones being orbicular or oblong, 1-3cm in length, and the lateral leaflets are small. Racemes bear 4-petaled, small white flowers. As flowering ends, stems fall and emerge as runners.
