Cardiandra alternifolia is
a 20-70cm-tall perennial herb growing in moist forests. Leaves are
of alternate phyllotaxis, in the shape of a broad lanceolate, 8-20cm
in length, with pointed tips, margins with serrations, and hairs on
both sides—Stem tops set with bisexual flowers and ornamental
flowers. The decorative flowers look like those of hydrangeas. Bloom
time: July-September. |
