Cassia nomame, a perennial found in dry riverbeds or
roadsides, grows 30-60cm tall. Leaves are even-pinnately compound,
with glandular dots on the upper parts of petioles, and the lobes
comprise 15-35 pairs with pointed tips. The yellow flowers measure
approximately 7mm in diameter; the stamens are four, and the fruit
(legume) is 3-4cm long. Bloom time: August-September. |
