Cassia nomame, a perennial found in dry riverbeds or
roadsides, grows to 30-60cm in height. Leaves are even-pinnately
compounds, with glandular dots on the upper parts of petioles, and
the lobes comprise 15-35 pairs with pointed tips. Flowers, yellow,
measure approximately 7mm in diameter; stamens are four in number,
and fruit (legume) measures 3-4cm in length. Bloom time:
