Centipeda minima
is a small, annual plant commonly found in yards, on roadsides, or
in fields. Stems are slender, branch well, and crawl on the ground
to take root in some spots. Of alternate phyllotaxis, leaves measure
1-2cm long, 3-6mm wide, in the shape of a cuneate, with 3-5
serrations on the tips. Axils set small, 3-4mm across, spherical
flower heads; the flower heads comprise tubular flowers alone. Bloom
time: July-October. |
