A
natural hybrid between Chrysanthemum indicum and C. x
morifolium, though similar to the former in color and shape,
Chrysanthemum x aphrodite has larger flowers, 3.0-4.0cm in
diameter, than the parental species Chrysanthemum indicium
(2.5cm across). The other parent, C. x morifolium, is typical
of all chrysanthemum hybrids in cultivation here in this country.
