Chrysosplenium echinus
is a perennial herb inhabiting wet locations
on rivers in mountainous regions. The 3-12cm flower stalks bear one
or two pairs of opposite leaves with some serrations on their edges.
Rosettes disappear before flowering time. The flower's calyx lobes
are green, the disk pale green, and the anthers orange in color,
which characterizes this species. Bloom time: April-May. |
