Chrysosplenium grayanum
is a perennial herb growing in clusters in wet
places in mountainous regions, with runners stretching in all
directions. The height is to be measured between 5 and 20cm. Leaves
are of opposite phyllotaxis, each 5-20mm in size, oval-shaped, with
3-8 obtuse serrations on the margins. Bracts are greenish and in the
same shape as on-stem leaves. Flowers are as small as 2mm in
diameter, light yellow, with erect sepals, and stamens numbering 4
in all. Bloom time: April-May. |
