Chrysosplenium nagasei var. nagasei
is a perennial herb in wetlands along valleys
in hilly districts. Its rosettes are oval-orbicular-shaped,
1.5-4.5cm long, and 1-3cm wide, remaining in the flowering time.
Leaves on stems are 1-3cm in both length and width. Flower stalks,
dark red-purplish, measure 5-13cm in height. Bracts are bright
yellow, with obtuse serrations. Calyx lobes, 4 in number, are
yellow-green and erect. Red-purple anthers are level lower than the
ends of the calyx lobes. Bloom time: April-May. |
