Chrysosplenium pilosum
is a perennial herb found in damp, shady places along valleys in
hilly districts, extending runners long, with dense white vellus
hairs. Leaves are flabellate, with 5-10 rounded serrations; petioles
are 5-15mm long, tinged with dark red-purple. Flowers measure
3-4.5mm in diameter; the calyx lobes are bright yellow and erect;
the tips are round and 2-3mm across; stamens are 8 in number, and
the anthers are bright yellow. Rosettes go over in bloom time. Bloom
time: March-May. |
