Chysosplenium tosaense
is a perennial that inhabits wetlands along
valleys in mountainous regions, extending its runners underground.
Rosette leaves are orbicular, 0.4-1.7cm in length, and the bases are
heart-shaped. Flower stalks measure 5-10cm in height, with one or
two alternate leaves. Flowers are 3mm across, calyx lobes are green
and open flat, and the anthers are yellow. Bloom time: April-May. |
