Cinnamomum camphora is
an evergreen tree that grows to more than 20m in height and 2m in
diameter. Leaves are alternate; blades are 5-12cm long, 3-6cm wide,
oval to oblong, with both ends pointed and somewhat leathery. The
surfaces are green and glossy, and the backsides tinge gray-white.
On the sides of new branches emerge panicles in which sparsely set
small yellow-green flowers. Bloom time: May-June. |
