Cinnamomum camphora
is
an evergreen tree that grows up to more than 20m in height and 2m in
diameter. Leaves are alternate; blades are 5-12cm long, 3-6cm wide,
oval to oblong, with both ends pointed, somewhat leathery, surfaces
are green and glossy, and the backsides tinging gray-white. Sides of
new branches emerge panicles in which sparsely set small
yellow-green flowers. Bloom time: May-June. |
