Clematis apiifolia is
a liana plant inhabiting sunny forest edges in fields and mountains,
creeping up adjacent plants, growing on or over them, and sometimes
hanging from their branches. Leaves are of a ternate compound leaf;
leaflets are 3.5-7cm-long broad-oval, with sharp tips and uneven
margins. Flowers set themselves many at axils; sepals, 4 in number,
are petal-like, open crosswise, and sometimes bend backward. Bloom
time: August-September. |
