Clinopodium chinense var. parviflorum
is a perennial plant that occurs in grasslands in mountainous
regions. With a square cross-section, stems grow to 20-80cm in
height and are covered with sparse downward hairs. Leaves are
alternate, with 5-15mm-long petioles, in an oval to long oval shape,
2-4cm long, with circular bases, and serrations on the margins.
Branch tips bear inflorescences with light red ligulate flowers in
some rows in whorls; corollas are 8-10mm long, upper lips are small,
lower ones are large, and the aperture is three. Bloom time:
August-September. |
