Clinopodium chinense var. parviflorum is
a perennial occurring in grasslands in mountainous regions; With a
square cross-section, stems grow to 20-80cm in height, with sparse
downward hairs. Leaves are alternate, with 5-15mm-long petioles, in
an oval to long oval-shaped, 2-4cm long, bases circular, and
serrations on margins. Branch tips bear inflorescences with light
red ligulate flowers in some rows in whorls; corollas are 8-10mm
long, upper lips are small, lower ones are large-sized, and the
aperture is three. Bloom time: August-September. |
