Crinum asiaticum is
an evergreen perennial that inhabits sandy coasts. The leaves
measure 30-70cm long and 4-10cm wide, with pointed tips, thick
texture, and glossy appearance, and have vaginate bases that envelop
the bulbs. Scapes are thick, growing to 50-80cm in height, and bear
many fragrant white flowers in an umbel-like arrangement. Bloom
time: July-September. |
