Cymbararia murals f.alba,
a white form of Cymbararia murals, is an
annual herb that grows wild on roadsides or stonewalls. Stems,
wire-like, crawl on the ground, branch, and produce adventitious
roots from nodes, reaching 10-40cm long. With long petioles, the
leaves are alternate, approximately 1cm across, in the shape of a
circular to oblate leaf, and palmately shallowly cleft into 5-7
lobes, with convex tips. Axils bear single flowers with long
peduncles; corollas are white, 7-8mm long, and divide into two lips;
the upper ones are cleft again into two and erect. The rear parts of
the corollas grow into spurs and protrude. Bloom time: March-August. |
