Damnancanthus indicus ssp. major is
an evergreen shrub inhabiting an evergreen forest, reaching the
height of 50-100cm. The branch arranges a large and a small pair of
opposite leaves alternatively on it. On stems, there are sharp
thorns, which are shorter than that of half of a plate, which makes
a clear difference from another sub-species, D.
indicus ssp. indicus.
