Dioscorea quinqueloba,
a vine perennial found in forests or edges: Rhizomes shallowly crawl
underground, and the vines branch well at upper parts. Leaves are
alternate, triangularly ovate, palmately cleft in 5-9, with short
hairs on upper and lower surfaces, and petiole's bases with a pair
of tubercles; perianth lobes, yellow, open flat. Dioecious: seeds
are oblong, with wings all around. Bloom time: July-August. |
