Dioscorea quinqueloba is a vine perennial found in
forests or edges: Rhizomes shallowly crawl underground, and the
branch of the vine well at the upper parts. Leaves are alternate,
triangularly ovate, palmately cleft in 5-9, short hairs on upper and
lower surfaces, petiole's bases with a pair of tubercles; perianth
lobes, yellow, open flat. Dioecious: seeds are oblong, with wings
all around. Bloom time: July-August. |
