Diplomorpha ganpi, a
small tree or shrub of fewer than 1m in height, grows in grasslands
in fields and mountains, with thick adpressed hairs on branches; all
the components die, leaving the bases each year. In alternate
phyllotaxis, leaves put themselves in a spiral way; blades measure
2-4cm long, 1-2cm wide, in the shape of an oblong, with margins
entire and significantly short petioles. Stem tips bear many white
to light red flowers; calyx tubes are 7-1mm long, with tips cleft in
four and adpressed hairs on the outsides. Bloom time July-October. |
