Eclipta prostrata, an
annual of 20-70cm in height, grows in damp places on roadsides,
especially those near paddies. Stems and leaves have bristles and a
sandy feel. Leaves are alternate, 3-10cm long, 0.5-2.5cm wide,
lanceolate in shape. Flower heads measure approximately 1cm in
diameter, with two rows of white ligulate flowers surrounding them
and green-white tubular ones in the center. Bloom time:
August-September. |
