Egeria densa,
a naturalized perennial plant in Japan and Argentina, grows wild in
water. Stems extend long in the water, 1.5-3cm long, linear in
shape, and generally arranged in whorls of 4-5. This species is
originally dioecious; however, in Japan, only males exist.
Therefore, proliferation occurs through vegetative propagation.
Bloom time: June-October.
