Eriocaulon cinereum:
It is an annual plant that inhabits wetlands. Leaves measure 4-10cm
long, 1-3mm broad, with sharp tips, and flower stalks are somewhat
twisted and grow to 10-20 cm in height, with indigo-black flower
heads. The 4-5mm in diameter flower heads are spherical, with lots
of white hairs, and the involucral bracts are shorter than the
flower heads. Bloom time: August-September. |
