Eriocaulon robustius is an
annual herb that occurs in wetlands. Leaves are many in clusters,
9-17cm long and 0.5-1cm wide, in the shape of a lanceolate-like
linea. Flower stalks, 5-ridged and somewhat twisted, grow to 5-20cm
in height, 4-7cm long sheathes at the bases. Flower heads measure
7-9mm in diameter, are semi-spherical-shaped, and light brown, with
involucral bracts shorter than them. Male flowers' sepals and inside
petals have hairs. Bloom time: September-October. |
