Eriocaulon robustius
is an annual herb that occurs in wetlands.
Leaves are many in clusters, 9-17cm long and 0.5-1cm wide, in the
shape of a lanceolate leaf. Flower stalks, 5-ridged and somewhat
twisted, grow to 5-20cm in height, with 4-7cm long sheaths at the
bases. Flower heads measure 7-9mm in diameter, are semi-spherical in
shape, and are light brown, with involucral bracts shorter than
them. Male flowers' sepals and inside petals have hairs. Bloom time:
September-October. |
