It is a perennial inhabiting wetland, Eriophorum
gracile;
its rhizomes
crawl sideways and extend runners long but do not grow to clusters.
Stems measure 20-50cm in height, with radical leaves occasionally
extending longer than the stems. The other leaves are slender, long,
and 2-3mm wide. Flower stalks, slim and tender, bear 2-5 spikes at
the tips; perianth lobes are white and fluffy, grow as long as 2cm
long in the flowering time, and become into one cluster. Bloom time:
