Galium kamtschaticum var. acutifolium is
a perennial herb in conifer forests in the subalpine zone; rhizomes
are thin, scrawling underground shallowly, branching, and making
fibrous roots at nodes. Stems are square and erect, 20-40cm in size.
Leaves are in whorls of four, in the shape of an oblong or
long-oblong, 2-5cm in length, with tips pointed, also with bristles
on both surfaces and margins. Stem tips or axils on upper parts
emerge cymes and sparsely set small yellow-green flowers. Bloom
time: June-July. |
