 Gastrodia verrucosa / Akizakityatsushiroran アキザキヤツシロラン

Gastrodia verrucosa, an orchid species with no chlorophyll found in evergreen or bamboo forests, closely resembles Gastrodia pubiabiata. However, with this species, the stem measures 3.5-10cm in height—longer, the whole is dark yellow ochre—lighter, and the flowers are 2-8 in number—more numerous. And with this species, sepals are connate to become cylindrical, and the lips and columns are light yellow. Bloom time: September-October.
