Gastrodia verrucosa,
an orchid species with no chlorophyll found in evergreen forests or
bamboo forests, closely resembles Gastrodia pubiabiata.
However, with this species, the stem measures 3.5-10cm in height -
longer, the whole is dark yellow ocher - lighter, and flowers are
2-8 in number - more. And, with this species, sepals are connate to
become cylindrical, the lips and columns light yellow in them. Bloom
time: September-October. |
